Following Dreams That Feel Scary

Do you ever find yourself feeling envious of someone else’s success or wishing you had more?
If so, it might actually be a sign — a nudge from within — that you’re meant for more.

I say this because I’ve felt that way too. I used to feel envious, and underneath that envy was something deeper: doubt in myself. But I’ve come to learn that those feelings show up for a reason. They’re reminders from your soul that you're capable, that you’re meant to grow, and that you have what it takes to create the life you desire.

Fear can be both our enemy and our guide. It all depends on how we choose to meet it. When we hit challenges, it’s easy to feel like giving up — but it’s in those exact moments that we’re invited to keep going. When you begin to approach fear with an open heart and an uplifted mindset, it stops being something that holds you back. It starts to become a compass, pointing you toward the path that’s truly meant for you.

It’s okay to feel scared. Staying in your comfort zone might feel safer, but staying stuck will never feel satisfying. That fear you're feeling? It's not a stop sign; it’s an invitation to step into your light and shine. Trust yourself. Have faith in your abilities. What others think doesn’t matter — what truly matters is how you feel about your journey.

You may think your dream is too far away, or even impossible. But no dream is impossible. Don’t let your mind tell you that you’re not good enough. The most meaningful dreams often come with the biggest challenges — but also the biggest rewards. Pursuing them is what builds your confidence, your strength, and your belief in yourself.

I’m in the middle of chasing my own dreams, and let me tell you — it’s not easy. I’ve felt the doubt. I’ve faced the fear. The path isn’t always clear. But still, deep down, I know I’m on the right track… because it feels right.

To truly grow, you’ll need to change how you speak to yourself. Especially when things don’t go perfectly. Don’t tell yourself you’re stupid or that you should be further along. Be kind to yourself. You’ll need you more than anyone else on this journey.

And even when it feels lonely, you’re never truly alone.
God is always with you.

Even if you’re still figuring out what you believe, find a quiet moment to pray. Trust that there’s something greater guiding you. If it helps, believe that those who’ve passed — your ancestors, your loved ones — are still watching over you. I truly believe they are. Sometimes the energy in the room shifts, and your soul just knows: you’re not alone. You’re being guided.

Following your dreams is one of the most powerful ways you can say yes to yourself.
And if you ever find yourself thinking, “I’m not good enough,” or “That’s not possible for me,” that’s your sign. You are good enough. And it is possible.
You just need to take that first step.

The rest will follow.
